When did you first start working with Badge Bomb? How did you get connected with us?
It was so long ago that I’m not sure that I remember how we got connected but I think we started working together in 2009. Or perhaps even 2008? More than 10 years ago, for sure!
What’s a Badge Bomb product you've designed that you're particularly proud of?
It’s really difficult to pick one thing because I’m proud of so many of the products we’ve worked on together (and there have been many!). I do love the “All Dogs are Good Dogs” design from the “Best in Show” button box because of the message.
Where did this idea come from?
The button box was inspired by my love of dogs and in particular by my own dogs, Mr Pickles, Zander, and Bean. I’ve adopted and befriended a lot of dogs in my life and one thing is for certain - there are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
What’s the first button or pin you owned? Do you remember where you got it?
I can’t say for sure if it was the first one I owned but I do remember buying a button from the Edinburgh Zoo on vacation in Scotland when I was about five. I think I had been given some spending money by my great-granny and I spent it on buttons for everyone in my family. The buttons had lambs on, I think, which is weird because as far as I know, Edinburgh zoo doesn’t have any sheep or lambs.
When you need some time offline and off work, what do you do?
Go for a walk, grab a coffee and browse in some antique stores… Or just walk my dogs. If I’m feeling especially footloose and fancy-free, I go to Disneyland - I sometimes just go by myself to people watch and eat pretzels.
What’s on your record player / what are you listening to right now?
John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch (cast album).
What movie could you rewatch again and again?
What We Do in the Shadows.
What’s your favorite snack food?
Sweet - Trader Joe’s mini dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
Savory - Roast beef Monster Munch (British potato chip snack. Does not contain any actual beef.)
